Mastering African rhythms, dance with us!

Day 1: Saturday, June 7
Arrival in Arusha, Tanzania

 Afternoon:
Arrive in Arusha and transfer to your lodge.

 

Evening:
Welcome barbecue at the lodge. Introductions and trip orientation to meet the group and Tanzanian hosts.

Day 2: Sunday, June 8
Dance Camp Kick-off

Morning:
Start with a Tanzanian dance workshop, introducing traditional rhythms and styles with local dance instructors.

Afternoon:
Continue the dance session, learning foundational moves.

Evening:
Dinner at the lodge with group discussions about Tanzanian culture and dance.

Day 3: Monday, June 9
Dance Camp & Tanzanian Cooking Workshop

Morning:
Dance session focusing on a different Tanzanian style, with choreography for an end-of-camp performance.
Afternoon: Tanzanian cooking workshop at the lodge, learning to prepare dishes like Ugali, Nyama Choma (grilled meats), and spiced vegetables.

Afternoon:
Enjoy a group meal at the lodge featuring the dishes prepared together.

Day 4: Tuesday, June 10
Cultural Tour & Jewelry Workshop

Morning:
Dance session focusing on a different Tanzanian style, with choreography for an end-of-camp performance.
Afternoon: Tanzanian cooking workshop at the lodge, learning to prepare dishes like Ugali, Nyama Choma (grilled meats), and spiced vegetables.

Afternoon:
Enjoy a group meal at the lodge featuring the dishes prepared together.

Day 5: Wednesday, June 11
Full-Day Safari in Ngorongoro National Park

Early Morning:
Depart for a full-day safari at Ngorongoro conservation area. The Ngorongoro crater stands out as a truly iconic destination. It’s the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera that has remained intact and unfilled with water

All Day:
Guided safari experience, spotting wildlife such as lions, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes.
Evening:
Return to the lodge for a relaxed dinner and time to unwind after the safari adventure.

Day 6: Thursday, June 12
Dance Camp (Fusion Day)

Morning:
Dance session blending Tanzanian traditional styles with contemporary African dance, bringing together diverse styles.

Afternoon:
 Group rehearsal of the dance performance for the end-of-camp showcase.

Evening:
Dinner at the lodge, with optional social time to share stories or relax.

Day 7: Friday, June 13
Community Visit & Dance Exchange

Morning:
Visit a local school or community center, sharing a dance session with Tanzanian students and learning from each other.

Afternoon:
Continue cultural exchange activities with the community, connecting over shared stories and practices.

Evening:
Group dinner at the lodge, celebrating the day’s interactions and connections.

Day 8: Saturday, June 14
Lodge Barbecue and Rest Day

Morning:
Free time to relax around the lodge, explore the surrounding area, or reflect on the week’s experiences.

Afternoon:
Group barbecue at the lodge featuring Tanzanian Nyama Choma, local sides, and fresh fruits.

Evening:
Evening of music and dance at the lodge with local musicians, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere together.

Day 9: Sunday, June 15
Lake Manyara Cultural tour

Morning: Free time to relax around the lodge, explore the surrounding area, or reflect on the week’s experiences.
In the afternoon lake manyara cultural tour.

Evening:

Return to lodge for a quiet evening and dinner

Day 10: Monday, June 16
Dance Camp Finale & Small Performance

Morning:
Final dance session, perfecting choreography and preparing for an informal performance.

Afternoon:
Dance performance for fellow travelers and lodge staff, celebrating the skills and styles learned during the camp.

Evening:
Farewell barbecue dinner with the group and dance instructors at the lodge, marking the end of the camp.

Day 10: Tuesday, June 17
Packing and Last Relaxation Day

Morning:
Packing and Last Relaxation Day.

Afternoon:
Final group lunch at the lodge, followed by airport transfer for the return to Germany

FAQ

We work in partnership with Africa Lodge. At African Lodge you will get breakfast and dinner. You get the lunch at Karibu La Kossa

Yes our tours are based on cultural immersion, we ensure that there will be exchange with tanzanian citizen to learn about the culture

We do provide you with water during your stay and with meal and fresh juice at breakfast. We do not provide any alcoholic drinks

Some vaccines are recommended like:

Yellow fever, typhys, Hepatis A, rabies… 
Please get some information at your tropical medicine center

After you book your flight to Tanzania, Kilimanjaro airport please let us know your arrival and departure date. Then you will have to pay a part of the money to reserve the hotel rooms. The rest of the fees can be pay in cash at arrival

You can apply to a 90 days tanzania visa at airport or you can apply for a e-visa online. We provide you an hotel reservation for this need

A malaria prophylaxe is recommended when traveling to tanzania. 
Some insurance refund the money for the prophylaxe. Please talk with you health insurance
